Pittsburgh Sound + Image presented Open Archives, five hours of interactive moving images, featuring a media archaeological playground with 16mm, Super 8, filmstrips, and 35mm slides.

Films screened in State of the Sky included shorts by Tippi Comden, Natalka Voslakov, and Spang's First Century: A Record of the Past by Lang Film Co.
